Hi, I'm Lyz Sutcliffe.

I work with you to define your brand voice, core messaging, target audience and competitive positioning - then translate that into a practical, actionable marketing plan.Once the foundation is set, I can manage the day-to-day execution across social platforms. From content calendars and creative direction to publishing and engagement, I ensure your brand shows up consistently and cohesively. The result is a social presence that feels authentic, strategic and aligned with your larger business goals.

I support organizations with clear, purposeful writing across blogs, reports, articles, op-eds and press releases, using storytelling to make ideas resonate with your audiences.


Design + visual communication

I help bring ideas to life through clear, well-considered visual communications. From creative direction to hands-on design, I support the development of materials that feel cohesive, accessible and aligned with your brand.


Public relations and reputation management

I support organizations and individuals with thoughtful public relations and reputation management, helping to shape clear narratives, manage visibility and build trust with media, partners and the public. This includes media relations, issues support and proactive storytelling that reflects your values and priorities.



About me

I hold an advanced diploma in public relations and bring a multidisciplinary background spanning traditional communications, marketing, event management and film and video production. Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia (Mi’kma’ki), I’ve worked across sectors including community health, tourism and destination management, engineering, and architecture and entertainment, shaping clear, thoughtful communications that support social impact and public understanding.I’ve served as past president of the International Association of Business Communicators’ Maritime chapter and currently sit on the board of Easter Seals Nova Scotia. My approach is grounded in thoughtful strategy, strong collaboration and storytelling that reflects purpose and credibility.Outside of work, I enjoy travelling off the beaten path, exploring art and culture, experimenting in the kitchen and keeping up with podcasts, politics and pop culture.
